Growth Of Courier News

In the world of newspapers being the most accurate and precise always helps. What are even more important are the speed of delivery and the style of writing. People like to read papers that do not give gossips but provide the actually relevant facts and information in the most truthful manner and in a way that can be easy to understand. Now, having such a newspaper in the environment today is a little difficult but there are a few papers which can boast about their robust writing and regular readership for more than a century now. One of such papers in existence is The Courier News.

The history of the establishment of this paper shows a consolidation of three other papers to form Courier News. Gannett Inc. became a part owner of this paper in the late 1920s and by the beginning of the 40s , Frank Gannett had taken over all the rights. In 1972, the newspaper headquarters were shifted to Bridgewater, NJ and has been there till date. Another major change that occurred when Courier News went on to become a daily paper from being a paper published from Monday- Saturday in 1987. Today it is an association of more than three hundred employees that help to the cause of running the paper with great effect.

A newspaper circulated in New Jersey was established in 1884. The paper being an evening regular has to be even more precise with information. It is not easy to maintain an evening newspaper as you have to be very careful about the news you print. People generally have the habit of reading papers in the morning, when they return home after a tired day at work would hate the same piece of news again. It means nothing, except for the paper copying from the morning news. The Courier News however has not adopted this policy and hence have survived the test of time. The evening daily as expected has been delivering news at a faster pace, as people like to know about the day that passed when they were at work. About the financial markets, the events, the sports action etc. This along with a highly skilled presentation and the ability to keep the reader interested with the topics are the success secret for any evening daily, including Courier News.

Not many papers can boost of a similar or even near to similar progress curve. The Gannett Inc has played a key role in its success as well. The group has immense contribution to the media field as along with the Courier News the also run a paper called Courier Journal (CJ), in a different region in America. With the responsibility of serving one of the fastest developing and one of the higher income areas in the United States, the Central Jersey district, Courier News plays an unmatched role for thousands of its daily readers.
